The Término

The manner in which the action of the front legs produce the typical Paso gait. It consist of lifting the right or left forleg while executing an impressive "boleo" or outward, slightly rolling, sideward movement of the front hooves, needing no pressure from any metal shod to produce it this spectacular "termino" movement is typical of the breed and is genetically installed. Peruvian Pasos are generally not shod, unlike other throughbreds.
